You are invited to join us for a Christmas Eve Service!

Equipping Class

The Goal: Colossians 1:28 - “to present every person mature in Christ.” Each class is designed to help you grow in scriptural knowledge, godly character, and mission alignment. As you grow in these three areas, you will be equipped for effective service, both in the body of Christ and to a needy world. A selection of classes is offered throughout the year.

Current Equipping Class is on break for the month of December. We will resume our study of the book of Ephesians on January 5th at 9am.

Our next Equipping Class will start January 19th on Biblical Archeology led by John Thompson.

Sunday Worship

We view our Sunday worship service as the “touch-point” of worship, fellowship, and instruction for our church body. We welcome visitors and locals to participate in our worship. We seek to craft a God-centered, Christ-exalting, Scripture-saturated worship experience for God's glory. Because we believe that fellowship is vital to the life of the church, we encourage you to visit following the service in the Commons, where we serve coffee and light snacks.

Sunday Worship Service – 10:00 am

Fellowship Time – 11:30 am (right after the service)

Children's Church - 10:20 am (shortly before the sermon)

Nursery - drop off 9:50 am (shortly before the service)

  • Children's Church dismisses at about 10:20am, right after the congregational singing and before the sermon, for all kids ages 5 through 5th grade. Sign your child(ren) in and out downstairs.
  • Infants and toddlers, ages 0-4, are welcome to come to the nursery located downstairs. Drop-off time is 9:50am and pick-up is following the service. Nursery childcare is provided by at least 2 qualified volunteers.
  • Coloring Sheets and crayons are available in the foyer as you enter for kids who would like to stay in the service.
  • Cry Room available for parent and child, adjacent to the sanctuary.

If you are unable to attend our service in person, our regular service is streamed on our Facebook group and page. Our Facebook Group is Community Bible Church at Sunriver, and our Facebook Page is Community Bible Church at Sunriver

Biblical Perspectives Lecture Series

These discussions are intended to help equip believers to think Biblically and learn to address specific cultural moments in the 21st Century with the love of Christ and wisdom from God’s Word.

The next lecture is scheduled for Thursday, February 6th, at 6:30pm, featuring Dr. Peter Mead speaking on Has The World Gone Mad? Two Competing Stories and Christianity's Better Hope.

In a time of deep confusion and rapid cultural shifts, many find themselves disoriented by a clash of competing worldviews. Why do so many societal changes feel unfamiliar, even strange? How should Christians respond to an increasingly militant push against values we once assumed were shared by all? Join us as we explore the two dominant worldviews shaping our society, uncover the reasons behind this growing divide, and consider how Christians can move beyond merely defending tradition to offering something far richer: a better story for a fallen world.

Other Events

CBC offers a variety of events for all ages and families throughout the year. Please check our church calendar or contact the church office for upcoming events. We encourage intergenerational participation and invite you to learn more about our various ministry opportunities.

Dinner for 8 is a ministry for people to fellowship in small groups over a meal. Signups and more information coming soon!

What is Dinner for 8? Meals are hosted in participants’ homes, at local restaurants, or wherever the group decides. The host usually prepares the main dish, while other members bring coordinating sides, salad, or dessert. Groups will meet once a month for 3 months, beginning in May. Then you sign up again and may be assigned a new group.

How are the Dinner for 8 groups formed?  A team will put people together so that each group has, at most, eight adults, taking into account the preferences that you listed. Groups may be comprised of all couples or couples and singles. It all depends on who signs up. The mystery is part of this ministry's excitement! Non-members of the church are also invited to join us.

What about families with children? Your group will determine the answer here. Childcare may be available.

What happens after our last gathering? You may decide to sign up for another round of Dinner for 8 with a different group of folks, or your group may wish to stay intact and continue as a small group.

Life Groups!

Life Groups provide regular study and fellowship time in small groups. This ministry is not a replacement for Dinner for 8. Both ministries provide fellowship opportunities in different ways. Congregants are encouraged to participate in both ministries! Please see our Life Group page for more information.
