The CBC Missions Care Team (MCT) serves as partners with sixteen (16) CBC ministries/missionaries who are directly engaged in fulfilling the transformational “great commission” referenced below:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone” (Mark 16:15)
“Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt 28:19)
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14)
Missions Care Team members continue to meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday with a primary focus of engaging in prayer for all Missionaries and Ministries; and to provide:
1) Care via prayer support, encouragement, & to identify & fulfill special needs.
2) Communication via CBC congregational updates, acknowledgement of missionary newsletters & video updates, and publication of MCT meeting minutes, etc.
3) Coordination via planning & executing all arrangements to facilitate missionary visits or conferences; seeking additional new MCT members; and liaison with the Elder Board.
4) Consultation with all supported missionaries and ministries including periodic monitoring of increased or decreased financial needs vs. budgeted financial support levels to assess & recommend to the Elder Board any needed adjustments. Additionally, to assess all appeals for financial support of potential new missionaries or ministries & make recommendations to the CBC Council of Elders.
