Jeff grew up in a Christian home in central Washington. He came to know Jesus as a young man and finally got serious about him as a senior in high school. He attended Western Baptist College, now Corbin University, for his undergrad where he met his incredible wife, Cari. They were married in 1995. During college, God called Jeff into ministry; he and Cari have served together in ministry since 1992. They have served in Salem, Oregon, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Portland, Oregon. Jeff earned his graduate degree at Western Seminary in 2010, returning in 2017 to pursue his doctorate with a hopeful graduation date in 2022. Jeff came on board here at CBC in August 2020 as senior pastor.

Jeff is passionate about preaching and teaching the Bible. He has a strong desire to help people understand the Gospel: Who Jesus is, What He did for us, and What it means to be His followers. He loves quality coffee, woodworking and building rough cut furniture. He loves God’s Word, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, sports (especially soccer), his wife, and his family, although not all in that order! 

In 2004, Jeff and Cari started an amazing family through the gift of adoption. They have 3 wonderful children: Allison, Hana and Josiah. The Welch family loves all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer and have enjoyed many vacations to Central Oregon to soak in the sunshine, float the river, and hike in the woods.  

Alli Welch has attended CBC since August 2020 and serves as Director of Children’s Ministries. With a background in childcare and disability support, along with a degree in criminal justice, she is passionate about creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where children can grow in their relationship with Christ. Alli loves helping kids enjoy coming to church and building a ministry that families can look forward to each week. Outside of church, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending summer days at the lake, and making memories with friends and family.

Peggy joined our CBC staff in March 2017. She and her husband Larry have been members at CBC for several years. Peggy comes with years of financial and accounting experience. She loves to sing, and knit in her spare time.

Amy joined CBC's staff in November of 2022. She has a background in music, early education, and libraries. She participates in CBC's praise team and choir alongside her husband, John. Amy's hobbies include reading and various musical instruments.
