CBC is seeking to hire an Associate Pastor of Families. The information below is a brief overview of what we are looking for in the new Associate Pastor of Families position.
The role of the Associate Pastor of Families will be to help us reach out to the young families in south Deschutes County. The Associate Pastor of Families will oversee leadership recruitment and training, preaching, vision, weekly gatherings, and large events for our ministry to families, including children and youth ministries. This full-time position is voted on by the congregation and will report directly to the Elders and Lead Pastor.
The Qualifications for this position are:
- Be a committed Christian.
- Be an ordained or licensed minister who possesses a vision for expanding the ministry of the Church through outreach into our surrounding community.
- Be committed to the vision, mission, values, and purpose of Community Bible Church.
- Agree with CBC’s statement of faith.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ full-time ministry experience.
- A graduate of an accredited university or seminary or have the equivalent in training and/or experience or working towards a degree at an accredited university or seminary.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Gifted in teaching and shepherding people—specifically youth and families.
- Meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 20-28-35.
- Willingness to submit to the Elders.
- Maintains a growing relationship with Christ, including Bible study, prayer, and personal worship.
- Flexible and willing to try new opportunities.
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.
- A desire to help transform families with the truth of God’s Word and the Gospel.
- Able to function comfortably with technology and social media.
Compensation: $50,000-55,000 DOE
