CBC is seeking to hire a Pastor of Worship and Adult Discipleship

At Community Bible Church in Sunriver, our mission is to transform lives through the truth of God’s Word and multiply His followers in the world. We live in one of the most beautiful settings in Central Oregon and draw thousands of visitors every year, and yet we have many year-round residents who need to hear the good news about Jesus. We want to reach them with the gospel and help them fulfill their God-given role in their homes, church, and community. We do this by engaging them in genuine relationships with other Christians, equipping them through Bible-based teaching, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them as we live out our faith in him.

We are seeking a Full-time Pastor of Worship & Discipleship Ministries who will be responsible for leading and promoting both the worship ministries and adult discipleship ministries of the church. Allocation of time would be approximately 60/40, with most of the time given to worship. They will work in conjunction with the senior pastor to develop and implement an overall ministry that promotes wholesome and biblically sound worship experiences that are God-centered, Christ-exalting, and Scripture-saturated. They will also give oversight to the discipleship ministries of the church to help build and maintain our discipleship programs by equipping God’s people for works of service.  

The Qualifications for this position are:

• Be a committed Christian.
• Be an ordained or licensed minister who possesses a vision for expanding the ministry of the Church through outreach into our surrounding community.
• Be committed to the vision, mission, and values of Community Bible Church.
• Agree with CBC’s statement of faith.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ full-time ministry experience.
• A graduate of an accredited university or seminary, or have the equivalent in training and/or experience, or working towards a degree at an accredited university or seminary.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Gifted in teaching and shepherding people.
• Meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 20-28-35.
• Willingness to submit to the Elders.
• Maintains a growing relationship with Christ, including Bible study, prayer, and personal worship.
• Flexible and willing to try new opportunities.
• Able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Must have experience in building and maintaining discipleship programs.
• Experience working with and directing worship teams, instrumental teams, choirs, and ensembles. 
• A trained and pleasing singing voice.
• Able to function comfortably with sound, technology, and social media.

Compensation: $65,000-70,000 DOE. Plus, a medical stipend.
